I’ve made a lot of tofu scramble, and this recipe is by far my favorite
I’m so excited to share my favorite tofu scramble recipe, the texture, flavor and spice is all in balance. With this recipe as a base you can make all sort of things .. toast, breakfast tacos, breakfast sandwich, etc. If you’re going to make tofu scramble every so often, it’s good to get a few key ingredients that will really elevate the flavor — miso paste, black salt (i bought mine on amazon) & nutritional yeast.
My Favorite Tofu Scramble
- 14 oz firm tofu
- 7 oz silken tofu
- 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1 tbsp turmeric
- 1 tbsp miso paste
- 1 tsp black salt (this is what makes it taste "eggy")
- In a hot oiled pan, add the firm tofu & spices (not the miso). With a fork, smash the tofu until "scrambled". In a small bowl mix the miso and silken tofu until the miso has incorporated. Add the silken tofu mix to the pan & incorporate. Cook for about 5 minutes. Eat on toast with chives and Sriracha.
