If you like apple pie & you like toast, then you’re going to want to make this.
Spiced apples & nut butter are basically made for each other. This aromatic, cozy breakfast is so satisfying and comforting when the temperatures are low.
Cinnamon Apple & Almond Butter Toast
Servings: 2 slices
- ½ apple
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp date nectar or maple syrup
- 2 tbsp almond butter
- 2 sliced toasted bread
- pinch coconut flakes
- Cut the apple into thin slices. Heat the coconut oil in a pan over medium low heat. Add the apples and sprinkle with cinnamon, flip them and sprinkle the rest. Let cook for about a minute, then drizzle the date nectar over the apples. Shuffle the apples around so that the cinnamon and date nectar coats all of the apple slices. Once the apples start to look golden, remove from heat.
- Spread the almond butter on each slice of toast, then top with the warm apples + coconut!
