I love this jam.
This blueberry cherry chia jam basically just fruit, chia and a touch of honey. All the sweetness you need is in the berries! I’ve made it before with just raspberries (which is lovely too), but I really like the sweet and tart taste the blueberry and cherry combination gives. It goes sooo well with some yogurt and granola, or on toast!
Blueberry Cherry Chia Jam
- 3 cups blueberries frozen or fresh
- 1 cup pitted cherries frozen or fresh
- 6 tbsp chia seeds
- 5 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp vanilla bean paste (can sub extract)
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- In a pot, bring everything to a boil & stir until the berries as soft. With a fork or a potato masher, crush the berries and cherries until the mixture starts to thicken. Transfer to a sterilized jar & refrigerate for a few hours to thicken.
