Maple Fig Tahini Smoothie

This smoothie flavor combo is killer (if I do say so myself).

This maple fig tahini smoothie will get you in the fall mood, plus it’s packed with protein, veggies and healthy fats!

Last week I was in Vermont and bough a huge bottle of classic Vermont maple syrup from a farm stand. It’s crazy how much more rich it is than the stuff you buy at supermarket. So just a teaspoon of this rich syrup is  sweet enough for this smoothie!

Another key element are the figs. I used dried figs because they’re going out of season in New England. You can also use frozen figs or fresh figs (if they’re in season where ever you are).

Since I’m already getting a ton of sweetness from the syrup and figs, I like to add frozen cauliflower to my smoothies for extra thickness without a ton of added sugar. You can hardly even taste it once blended!

Maple Fig Tahini Smoothie

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 cup frozen cauliflower
  • 3 dried figs
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp tahini
  • ¾ cup plant based milk
  • 1 scoop vegan vanilla protein powder


  • banana slices
  • tahini drizzle
  • sesame seeds
  • chia seeds


  • Blend all of the ingredient until smooth & top with banana, tahini, sesame seeds and chia seeds!
